Ceremonial Grade, extraordinary tea. Organic, Loose Leaf Sencha Green Tea from Kakegawa, Japan, Spring picking which means these are the most tender and flavorful leaves of the harvest.
Flavor notes: Sweet, buttery, light and refreshing.
This is an amazing green tea. I brewed it loose in a large mug with 170 degree water as advised. The brew took a little longer than usual, but the results were fantastic.
The smell is grassy, with a hint of citrus.
The first taste was like Matcha - unusually full and rich with an almost creamy mouthfeel. The taste is clean, but not watery. It avoids becoming bitter as you drink the mug. Leaves should be good for 2-3 pourings.
