Grown in clay mineral soil, this organic coffee is sourced from family-owned farms through an organization that promotes gender equality programs, healthcare, education and small business lending to its community. Extremely well-balanced, this special coffee boasts a smooth, light nuttiness which delights the palate.

These particular coffee beans are sourced from family owned farms organized around the Association of Special Coffee Producers of Huehuetenango (ASOPCE), which has 450 members who cultivate coffee on small parcels of land throughout the department of Huehuetenango, Guatemala. ASOPCE work with an exporting company called BICAFE to gain access to technical support for best agricultural practices. The partnership has helped to improve quality, increase earnings from coffee sales, and strengthen families’ livelihoods. BICAFE has its own centrally located warehouse and dry mill facility (powered by 250 solar panels), which eases transportation costs for producers and ensures coffee traceability.
